Doesn’t seem to have a huge participation rate, but there were a dozen hardy souls who wanted a chance to yell at their dogs. Some dogs were pretty good, but a few had no clue at all no matter how loud the whistle or exasperated the yell.

Drove in to Muttaburra to join most of the locals to prepare the showgounds for the upcoming Landsborough Flock Ewe Society Show – basically the local annual sheep show. It’s dry, dusty and drought declared, but we came across a live turtle in the middle of a dirt track on the property.

It was ‘muster’ day so the girls went in to Longreach to spend time with their teacher, and other kids in their class who live near enough to town to drive in. We went in to visit, did the tour, and spent the rest of the day exploring the town.
